Application requirements of main household appliance plastics
Refrigerator
Requirements: sufficient mechanical strength, rigid dimensional stability, creep resistance
Cold storage and freezing room: in addition to the above mechanical property requirements, non-toxic, odorless, low temperature resistant, crazing resistant and edible oil are required in the open sea
Washing machine
Requirements: high heat resistance (100 ℃), good chemical resistance, excellent resistance to detergent, lubricant, grease, etc. and good impact resistance. The general plastic PP (inner barrel cover plate, base turbine, etc.) is used more. The engineering plastics are polyoxymethylene polyacyl and ABS.
Air conditioner
Requirements: rigidity, creep resistance, impact resistance, flame retardancy, vibration resistance, cold resistance, weather resistance, and heat deformation temperature (HDT) ≥ 70 ℃.
The components used are: fan, air inlet window, front control panel, bearing frame, horizontal radiator and rear housing.
Fan: indoor fan: as with 20 ~ 30% glass fiber
Outdoor fan: glass fiber reinforced ABS or as.
Air intake window and front control panel: ABS or hips
Bearing frame and horizontal radiator: glass fiber reinforced ABS
Rear housing: chemical resistant ABS
Refrigerator
Requirements: heat resistance, flame resistance, voltage resistance, corona resistance, arc resistance, good rigidity, impact resistance, dimensional stability, creep resistance, etc;
Plastic raw materials: ABS, polyamide, POM, modified polyphenylene ether, polycarbonate, pet, PBT;
Usage: TV shell, knob, dividing disc, lens, coil framework, transformer control shaft, winding tube, insulating sleeve, etc;
TV shell: flame retardant ABS or hips (ABS has better comprehensive performance than hips) mostly adopt ABS; Flame retardant UL94 V-O grade (abs/pvc alloy is widely used in the United States, and modified polyphenylene oxide is also used in China, but the price is high)
Electric fan
Product: blade cover, shell cover, knob version, etc
Plastic raw materials: ABS as Reinforced PPS, etc

Vacuum cleaner
Requirements: good rigidity, impact resistance, scratch resistance, good dyeing and gloss, anti-static and avoid dust absorption
Plastic raw materials: polyamide (PA) or reinforced PP is used for the shell (ABS) of the vacuum cleaner, motor support, wheel accessories, etc
Electric iron
Requirements: heat resistance, impact strength and appearance
Plastic raw materials: the shell, handle and sink bottom plate of the electric iron are made of reinforced PP or ABS. The parts near the heating area are required to have high heat resistance and are made of PC PA reinforced PBT.
Microwave oven and rice cooker
Requirements: heat resistance, flame retardancy, rigid dimensional stability.
Plastic materials: the shell adopts ABS, and the handle electric switch knob adopts reinforced PBT and ABS;
The temperature of internal parts shall be as high as 200 ℃. Only glass fiber reinforced PSF Glass Fiber Reinforced PPS polyether ether ketone (PEEK) and liquid crystal polymer (LCP) can meet the requirements.
